George S. Benjamin is an associate in the Firm’s Labor and Employment Department, where he represents employers in all phases of employment litigation and advises on workplace matters.

George’s practice focuses on wage-and-hour class and representative actions, including PAGA matters, as well as single-plaintiff employment disputes in state and federal court and arbitration. He  manages all phases of litigation, including strategy development, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial and hearing preparation.  His experience includes complex matters involving large, multistate workforces and claims with significant exposure.

In addition to litigation, George advises employers across a range of industries on employee relations and compliance issues. His counseling work includes discipline and termination decisions, accommodations and leaves of absence, wage-and-hour compliance, workplace investigations, and employment policies and handbooks.

George is known for his deep strategic insight, high responsiveness, and for bringing a practical, creative, and efficient approach to advocating for his clients' interests.  

George brings an international perspective to his practice, having lived in Singapore for more than a decade, and has particular experience working with healthcare organizations and companies with ties to Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining the Firm, George practiced labor and employment law for more than a decade at international law firms in Los Angeles. He also completed an in-house secondment with a global technology company, supporting corporate counsel on employment litigation and employee relations matters.

Outside of the office, George enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and exploring his interest in music.
