In addition to litigation, Nate counsels employers on a broad range of labor and employment issues, including labor relations, wage-and-hour compliance, FEHA compliance, discipline and discharge, leaves of absence, hiring and background checks, and California Public Records Act requests . He has also coordinated workplace misconduct investigations, working with neutral investigators to define investigation scope, manage communications, and analyze investigative findings.
Nate has particular experience representing public agencies in labor relations matters, including preparing for and responding to organized work stoppages, negotiating with labor organizations, and seeking injunctive relief in superior court and before PERB. Outside the office Nate enjoys cycling, traveling and rooting for the San Francisco 49ers.
