Tim Odzer is a Law Clerk at Jeffer Mangels & Mitchell LLP and a member of the Firm's Litigation Department. He represents businesses, property owners, lenders, and individuals in complex commercial disputes, with a focus on real estate, creditors' rights, trusts and estates, financial services, insurance coverage, and copyright matters. He handles cases in state and federal trial courts and on appeal, from the first pleading through discovery, dispositive motions, and contested hearings.
Tim builds his practice on a clear understanding of how judges decide cases. Having served as a law clerk to two federal judges, he knows what makes a brief persuasive and what makes it frustrating to read. He brings that perspective to case strategy, so that motions are focused and arguments are practical, and so clients get a clear picture of where their case stands. Tim uses his courtroom experience to efficiently and effectively advocate for his clients’ interests while fostering positive relationships with client teams.
Tim has worked directly with lead counsel on high-stakes, multi-million-dollar disputes and drafted successful dispositive motions, injunction pleadings, and appellate briefs. He has handled commercial, copyright, financial services, and insurance coverage cases and argued dispositive and pretrial motions.
Outside of the office, Tim enjoys watching baseball, reading non-fiction, and running.
