Zach B. Quinlan is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department, where he focuses his practice on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation matters. He represents clients across all stages of litigation in patent infringement disputes, patent licensing and related commercial contract matters, as well as copyright and trade secret litigation.
Zach has experience defending and prosecuting patent infringement actions, supporting experts with source code review and technical product analyses, and assisting with trial preparation. His practice includes drafting substantive pleadings and dispositive motions, conducting discovery, including taking and defending depositions, and performing in-depth legal research.
Before practicing law, Zach worked as a software engineer, where he developed and implemented services for cloud-based applications. His technical background informs his litigation practice, particularly in matters involving complex software and technology issues.
Zach earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served on the Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law and participated in the Intellectual Property and the Arts Clinic. He received his B.S.A. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
In his spare time, Zach enjoys cooking, following Premier League soccer, and running.
